I spent the last few months of the year preparing the opening performance to the Interference Festival 2010 in Breda.
I created a performance for Koen and myself where we'd use a quadraphonic setup in which we would improvise and process the clarinet over pre-composed samples and soundscapes. The performance was a succes and I consider it one of the best I did, thus far.

We recorded a follow up to 'nothing large, but all things for little' as an ensemble. Playing, improvising and recording the whole thing live, taking 'husc' as a band/musician in a completely new direction. I released our first endeavours as the ep 'in the space of seven breaths'.

I did a residency at STEIM with Jilt van Moorst and the Sean Winter's trio to create a modern, live cinema adaption of the story of 'Orpheus' . It was a great succes and we are currently still improving the show and looking for places to perform this!

I've built a wacky sound generator from music from outer space inside a sega master system enclosure.. great fun! Here's a video:

Koen and I have thought about using the poetry of the russian poet Mayakovsky for years and we finally got to it. I wrote an autonomous max patch that records and manipulates Koen playing clarinet while I recite the poetry. We performed this twice:
First time at Theater Kikker in Utrecht:
The second time during cultuurnacht in Breda:

I did a second internship, this time at born digital, where I created a prototype multitouch table. Software was written in max/msp/jitter to enable the table to easily be used within Ableton. I learned a lot about working in the new environment of max4live.

I've moved and setup my new studio in march 2010. I now have better acoustics and a lot more room..
